Paw Manual exists to give pet owners accurate, practical answers about smart pet devices. This Editorial Policy explains how we research our content, how we handle mistakes, and what we will — and won’t — publish.
How We Research
Every guide starts with primary sources: manufacturer manuals, official support documentation, firmware release notes, and spec sheets. We cross-check troubleshooting steps against real-world reports from device owners and test procedures ourselves where possible. When a claim can’t be verified against a primary source, we say so — or we leave it out.
Accuracy Standards
We do not publish guesses as facts. Device behavior, error codes, and reset procedures are verified against official documentation before publication. Product specifications and prices are checked at the time of writing and reviewed periodically; when information goes stale, we update the article or add a dated correction note.
Corrections Policy
We correct errors promptly and transparently. Substantive corrections are noted at the top or bottom of the article with the date of the change. Typographical fixes may be made silently. If you spot an error, please tell us through our Contact page — we review every report.

We write about devices, not diagnoses. We do not provide veterinary advice, and our content never substitutes for a qualified veterinarian. If a device issue could affect your pet’s health or safety, we will tell you to contact your veterinarian or the manufacturer — and to stop using the device until you do.
